Statement from FedExForum

Memphis, Tenn. FedExForum today shared the following statement on the continuation of the Shelby County Mask Mandate (Health Directive No. 26) and its impact on upcoming events at FedExForum:

In compliance with yesterday’s announcement that the Shelby County mask mandate is staying in place through the end of October, FedExForum will require everyone – regardless of vaccination status – to wear a face mask inside FedExForum until the order is lifted. This includes Grizzlies games, Tigers games and all concerts and events. Per local and national guidelines, children under 2 will not be required to wear a mask.

As preparation to create and maintain a healthy and safe environment in FedExForum for such time as when the mask mandate is lifted, beginning with the Memphis Grizzlies home opener on Wednesday, Oct. 20, all unvaccinated fans 12 and older must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken at least 72 hours prior to all scheduled Grizzlies and Tigers games upon entry. All vaccinated guests must show proof of at least one dose of vaccination for those same events. Children ages 2-11 will need to be masked in FedExForum, and if they are sitting within 15 feet of the court for Grizzlies games will also need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

“We polled our season ticket holders and found that a clear-cut supermajority of our MVPs are vaccinated and want to be in a vaccinated/tested environment for games,” said Grizzlies President Jason Wexler. “It was genuinely encouraging that the best interests of the health of our community so profoundly aligned with the preferred way for Grizzlies’ season ticket holders to enjoy games at FedExForum in the current environment. Those who are vaccinated overwhelmingly said they are willing to show proof of vaccination. Once the mask order is lifted, and with the vaccination/negative test policy already in place, fans can get back to a mask-less environment inside FedExForum with the confidence that everyone in attendance is either vaccinated or has shown proof of a negative test.”

To allow for a more streamlined entry, FedExForum is implementing CLEAR Health Pass as a secure way for fans to upload their vaccination cards and test results from providers for faster entry. Fans utilizing CLEAR on their phones will be able to access priority lines upon entry at FedExForum, with those showing physical cards/negative test results going through a manual check. Fans can download the Clear app by visiting the following link: Clear.app.link/FedExForum from their mobile phone. Additional details on utilizing the CLEAR Health Pass app, including select healthcare providers and pharmacies integrated with CLEAR for test results, are available at fedexforum.com/arena-policy-updates.

This FedExForum entry policy will be in place through at least November 19, with updates provided accordingly. The entry policy may be modified for specific concerts or events, so attendees should check fedexforum.com prior to attending a concert or event.
