LKR To Receive Donation From TSO’s FedExForum Performance Tomorrow Night
One of the biggest attractions in arena rock music, Trans-Siberian Orchestra is giving back this holiday season as the band gears up for its return to Memphis tomorrow night at FedExForum. For every ticket sold for tomorrow night’s holiday spectacular, Trans-Siberian Orchestra will donate one dollar toward the Memphis chapter of Little Kids Rock.
Little Kids Rock is a national nonprofit organization that transforms children’s lives by restoring and revitalizing music education in disadvantaged public schools. Since 2006, the contribution by Trans-Siberian Orchestra to Little Kids Rock has provided $70,000 towards the purchase of musical instruments and resources impacting thousands of Memphis City School students.
Established in 1996 by producer/composer/lyricist Paul O’Neill, Trans-Siberian Orchestra has been a true rock mega-success, both on record and the concert stage. The band’s five CD releases, including the holiday-themed Christmas Eve & Other Stories (1996), The Christmas Attic (1998) and The Lost Christmas Eve (2004), have sold more than eight million units. TSO’s 2001 DVD release, The Ghost of Christmas Eve, also achieved platinum status.
Tickets for tomorrow night’s show still are available and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com, Stonecityattractions.com, the FedExForum Box Office or by phone at (800) 745-3000. All tickets are subject to additional fees and service charges.
